STATEMENT TO SUPPLIERS REGARDING EXECUTIVE ORDER 14209
Pausing Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Enforcement
On February 10, 2025, President Trump issued an executive order pausing enforcement of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) for 180 days, citing the need to “realign U.S. anti-corruption enforcement with broader American economic and national security interests.” The executive order directs the attorney general to issue revised, “reasonable” FCPA enforcement guidance that promotes American competitiveness and efficient use of federal law enforcement resources. The executive order only applies to enforcement of the FCPA by the Department of Justice. It does not repeal the FCPA.
Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company has long committed to ethical business activities, through full compliance with the FCPA, the anti-bribery and anti-corruption laws of foreign countries, and domestic bribery laws of the United States. We strictly prohibit bribery and corruption both domestically and abroad, and we expect the same ethical behavior from our valued suppliers of goods and services, in keeping with our Supplier Code of Conduct.
