Kuwait Oil Tanker Company S.A.K. (KOTC) is the marine transport arm of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, based in Kuwait. Founded in April 1957 by a group of Kuwaiti investors, it owns and manages tankers that carry crude oil, refined petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas. Its fleet of about 31 vessels includes very large crude carriers, product tankers, LPG carriers and bunker vessels, and it trades to ports around the world. KOTC also runs a Marine Agency branch that serves tankers calling at Kuwait's oil ports, and it oversees newbuilding projects for its fleet. The company previously ran LPG cylinder filling plants, but these were transferred to Kuwait National Petroleum Company.
