BSM defines ship management as a long-term relationship business where safety, client satisfaction and crew are paramount. BSM operates all managed vessels in the safest and most efficient manner possible to meet the requirements of all stakeholders in full compliance with the International Safety Management Code, with a focus on maximising availability and loss prevention, as well as is a leader and firm believer in digital innovations for ship management. BSM was formed in 2008 through the merger of four Schulte Group ship management companies – Hanseatic Shipping, Dorchester Atlantic Marine, Eurasia Group, Vorsetzen Bereederungs- und Schiffahrtskontor – which have been providing third-party ship management services since the 1970s. The family-owned company has experience with all major vessel types such as tankers, gas carriers, bulk carriers, containers as well as with specialised vessel types like offshore and cruise vessels. We provide client-centric service through 11 regional ship management centres in key shipping hubs and operate an extensive crew recruitment network globally as well as world-class training facilities. Every vessel is important to us in terms of performance and energy efficiency. We have a dedicated Fleet Performance Centre including a Fleet Monitoring Centre to improve the efficiency of our clients' fleet through a holistic approach including: BSM is a leader and firm believer in digital innovations for ship management.
