Wilhelmsen Ship Management is part of the Wilhelmsen group, a Norwegian maritime group headquartered at Strandveien 20 in Lysaker, with a history tracing back to 1861. The ship management unit operates from this Lysaker office alongside other Wilhelmsen group entities, with its global ship management headquarters based in Singapore.

The company provides third-party technical and crew management services covering a range of vessel types, including LNG/LPG carriers, Ro-Ro and PCC/PCTC vessels, bulk carriers, container ships, cruise vessels and offshore units. It manages vessels from several offices worldwide and maintains a network of manning offices supplying seafarers internationally.

Additional services offered include dry-docking support, lay-up management and new-building supervision. As part of the wider Wilhelmsen group, the ship management business operates alongside sister companies such as Wilhelmsen Ships Service and Wilhelmsen Port Services, all under Wilh. Wilhelmsen Holding ASA.
