Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) is the state-owned national shipping line of Bangladesh, based in Chittagong with additional offices in Dhaka and Khulna. Established under the government of Bangladesh, the corporation operates a fleet of bulk carriers and oil and chemical tankers, providing liner, chartering, tramping and feeder services. The company handles crude oil and food grain carriage and lightening, agency services, and ship repair through its own marine workshop. Its vessels, including units such as MV Banglar Nabajatra, MV Banglar Progoti, MV Banglar Joyjatra and several tankers, operate on both domestic and international routes. As a government corporation, BSC publishes annual and financial reports, investor guidance, and operates recruitment and tendering processes through its official web portal. It continues to expand its fleet and services within Bangladesh's maritime sector.
