公司信息
The Association of Ship Brokers and Agents (USA), Inc. is a trade association based in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, representing ship brokers, agents and affiliated maritime companies operating in the United States and Canada. Founded in 1934, it brings together dry cargo, tanker and sale & purchase brokers alongside certified agents and affiliate members such as owners, operators, charterers, bunker brokers and tug companies. ASBA promotes professional standards and ethical conduct within the ship broking and agency sector through its bylaws, code of ethics, anti-bribery and antitrust policies. It issues standardized charter party forms used across the industry and operates certification programs including the ASBA Agent Exam and FONASBA Agent Diploma. The association is governed by a Board of Directors and Officers, supported by working committees covering ethics, grievance and other industry matters, with day-to-day operations managed by an Executive Director. It also runs an Educational Foundation, hosts an annual conference and events, and maintains a Young Ship Brokers and Agents (YSBA) group for industry newcomers.
