NYK Shipmanagement (NYKSM) is a Singapore-based ship management company established in 2001 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the NYK Group. Operating from Harbourfront Place, the company provides technical and crew management services for vessels owned by NYK Line as well as third-party clients, covering car carriers, dry bulkers, container ships, tankers and gas carriers. The company manages a fleet that has grown to over 100 vessels under full technical management and more than 200 vessels under combined technical and crewing management. Services extend to new building supervision, marine consultancy, vessel lay-up and reactivation, IHM implementation, retrofits and green recycling support. NYKSM also operates a training center in Singapore for seafarer and cadet development, aiming to prepare crew for career progression within the group. It regularly holds seminars to communicate policies and operational updates to its seagoing staff.
