Univan Ship Management Limited maintains an office in Chennai, India, at Prince Arcade on Cathedral Road, serving as part of its network of regional branches supporting seafarer recruitment and crew administration.

The company is a third-party ship manager headquartered in Hong Kong, founded in 1973 by Captain C. A. J. Vanderperre, who is widely credited as a pioneer of modern third-party ship management. It manages a broad range of vessel types for owners worldwide, including tankers, bulk carriers, container ships and gas carriers.

Beyond technical and crew management, Univan supports clients with newbuilding and conversion supervision, vessel sale and purchase, and chartering services. In 2015 Univan combined with Anglo-Eastern to form the Anglo-Eastern Univan Group, while continuing to operate offices under the Univan name in India, the Philippines, China, Singapore, Myanmar, Japan and the UAE.
