Company Info

Aden Refinery Company (ARC) operates the Aden oil refinery at Little Aden, in the Republic of Yemen. The facility traces its origins to a refinery built by British Petroleum between 1952 and 1954, and has been run under the name Aden Refinery Company since the Yemeni government took over operations in 1977.

The company processes crude oil into products such as kerosene, diesel, gasoline, LPG and asphalt for the local and regional markets, and offers storage of crude oil and petroleum products for third-party clients. Through its Aden Bunkering Department, ARC supplies bunker fuel to vessels calling at the Port of Aden, connected to the refinery by a long-standing pipeline network and dedicated jetties.

ARC remains part of Yemen's state-owned oil sector, operating as a subsidiary of the Yemen Oil and Gas Corporation. It continues to serve ships, traders and petroleum companies from its Aden location.
