Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) is an Indian public sector oil and gas company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Founded in 1952 and renamed in 1977, the company refines crude oil and markets petroleum products across India, operating refineries in Mumbai, Kochi and Bina.

Through its MAK Lubricants brand, BPCL supplies marine lubricants including MAK Marine crankcase oils for medium-speed trunk piston engines and MAK Boat XP for fishing boats and trawlers, serving shipowners and operators across multiple grades and specifications.

The company also supplies IMO-compliant marine bunker fuels, including VLSFO and high flash high speed diesel, produced at its Mumbai and Kochi refineries and delivered through bunkering operations at the ports of Mumbai, Kochi, Kakinada and Hazira.
