Company Info
Jacob Panamax Tanker Pool GmbH & Co. KG operates as part of Jacob – The Shipping Group, a Hamburg-based tanker shipping organisation combining the family-run Ernst Jacob shipping company, active since 1955, with Jacob Tankschiffahrtsgesellschaft, founded in 2000. The group covers the full range of tanker ownership and management services, including sale and purchase, newbuilding supervision, technical and commercial management, crewing, insurance and maintenance. Established in 2007, the Jacob Panamax Tanker Pool (JPTP) provides a dedicated revenue pool for Panamax and LR1 tankers, allowing for coordinated commercial employment of vessels across the fleet. The pool began with five tankers and has at times operated as many as twelve ships under its structure. The group is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, and manages a modern fleet operating internationally. Its services combine technical oversight, commercial management and pool operation for tanker owners and operators worldwide.
