Petroleos del Peru (Petroperu S.A.) is Peru's state-owned oil company, headquartered in San Isidro, Lima. It refines, transports and markets hydrocarbons. The company operates the new Talara refinery on the northern coast along with the Conchan and Iquitos refineries, and it runs the North Peruvian Pipeline (Oleoducto Norperuano), which carries crude oil from the Amazon region to the Pacific coast. A network of plants and coastal terminals distributes fuels, and it holds interests in several oil blocks. Petroperu sells fuels and specialty products to industry, service stations and export customers, including marine fuels and lubricants for shipping. In 2025 the government issued an emergency decree to reorganize the company's assets and operations.
