Founded in 1977, originally under the name Intershipoil, the company was renamed Shipoil in 1982 and has since expanded from local Greek and Mediterranean trading into a worldwide fuels and lubricants supply house.

The company supplies bunkers and marine lubricants to ship owners, operators, charterers and managers at ports around the world, operating around the clock to arrange deliveries and support vessel calls. Its offering also extends to yachts and offshore clients, alongside risk-management support for fuel procurement.

Shipoil has worked with technology partners to digitize its trading and supply operations and is involved in industry bodies connected to the bunkering trade. The company remains headquartered in Piraeus, continuing to serve as a trading link between refineries, physical suppliers and vessel operators.
