AS Ventbunkers operates an oil products terminal in the Port of Ventspils, Latvia, handling the reception, storage and transshipment of fuel oil and diesel fuel. The terminal has four berths, 27 tanks with a total capacity of about 355,000 m3, and an annual throughput capacity of around 7 million tonnes. Products are received by rail, with two unloading platforms allowing simultaneous processing of 92 tank wagons, and by sea directly from tankers. Loading onto vessels takes place at the terminal's berths, which can accommodate Aframax-class tankers of up to 150,000 DWT, with diesel loading rates up to 3,600 m3 per hour and fuel oil up to 2,500 m3 per hour. The company also operates a wastewater treatment facility for ship ballast water and industrial effluents, and provides berth service support. Ventbunkers employs more than 300 people and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 certifications for its quality, environmental and energy management systems.
