Established in 1975, INTEROCEAN AMERICAN SHIPPING CORPORATION (IAS) was formed through the merger of an oil company tanker fleet and a privately owned maritime firm. The company offers operation and management services for third party ship owners as well as for foreign and domestic flag vessels owned by affiliated companies. IAS is presently a fully owned subsidiary of American Shipping Group, Inc., based in Seattle, Washington (a division of SaltChuk Resources, Inc.).
