Since 1786, our organization has been serving as an essential component of the maritime community by acting as the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man. They also provide aids to navigation in addition to operating and maintaining the 207 lighthouses and 167 buoys within their jurisdiction. They are also accountable for ensuring that other AToN service providers in their region, such as port authorities, adhere to the standards that have been established internationally.
