Company Info

U.S. Oil & Refining Co. operates a petroleum refinery and marine terminal at 3001 Marshall Avenue in the Tacoma tideflats, Washington. Founded in 1952 as Pacific Oil & Refining Co. and renamed in 1955, the company began refinery operations in 1957 on a deep-water site along the Blair Waterway in the Port of Tacoma.

The refinery processes crude oil into gasoline, diesel, jet and marine fuels, asphalt products and feedstocks for the Puget Sound and Pacific Northwest markets. Its waterfront location provides direct access for ocean-going barges and tankers, supporting marine fuel and bulk product deliveries alongside pipeline, rail and truck distribution.

Since 2019 the Tacoma refinery and associated logistics assets have been owned by Par Pacific Holdings, which continues to operate the site under the U.S. Oil & Refining Co. and U.S. Oil names. The facility remains in active operation, supplying refined petroleum and marine fuel products from its Marshall Avenue location.
